Watercolour Fun

Watercolouring

Today the lovely ladies in my team came for a day of stamping & fun.  This set is Cath’s & she kindly let me stamp some images with it.  This is the card I created tonight from one of the images.  It’s fairly simple but I didn’t want to add too many layers & take away from the actual picture.  I had oodles of fun colouring with the markers & then using my aqua pen to ‘take away’ colour.   There is an excellent tutorial on this here.  I need a lot of practice but it was heaps of fun to try, I certainly recommend it!  I just need to get some more markers.  Yes Cath, I NEED them. LOL

Stamps: Seaside Sketches

Cardstock: Whisper White, So Saffron, Watercolour paper (divine to work on)

Inks: Black Stazon, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink & Barely Banana Markers

Other: Aquapainter, sponge.

I used the Tempting Turquoise on a sponge with a piece of torn cardstock to acheive the layers.  I do believe it’s a faux tearing technique (but I could be wrong!).  Anyway, I hope you like my first attempt at watercolouring with my markers.  Comments gratefully received :-) .
